Haus Labs Foundation review

At the Sephora I frequent the Haus Labs display is right next the entrance, and everytime I stop to browse I swatch a few things but had yet to commit to any products until now. I’ve been eyeing their foundation for a very long time and finally decided to give it a try!

The Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation is in fact a beautiful base to add to your makeup stash! I do find any foundation that states it has a serum incorporated into its formula peaks my interest, a lot of then tend to have a similar finish but not all of them wear the same way on the skin. The consistency of the formula is light and feels moisturizing like a water based foundation does and settles nicely into the skin without a powder. I like that this foundation is truly buildable as well, a lot of times when a foundation is this hydrating once you’ve laid down your first layer the product can separate on the skin leaving a blotchy or unnatural finish, but that’s not the case here.

I have very acne prone skin and am always in fear of when my next breakout will hit, and as someone who wears makeup consistently my skin can be all over the place sometimes. I also switch up which foundation I use every few days depending on how my skin is behaving, after wearing Haus Labs for a few days I caught myself looking closely in the mirror wondering if my skin had actually improved since I started wearing it. Now, I’ve never heard of a foundation that will clear up a breakout, but this one does contain properties that reduce inflammation and redness in the skin and I think that’s what I was noticing! So, a win is a win!!

When looking at the description used on the Haus Labs site for this foundation I didn’t see any mention of hydration being a key component in the formula but I did find this formula to be very dewy!! This isn’t a complaint I have for this one but I do have very oily skin so wearing this does take a little manipulation on my part in order to get it to wear all day for me. Other than that I do really like the look and feel of this foundation and would love so them expand their line to other powders and foundations!
